Very Good!

Alisa thought she lived a normal, rather boring life until her mom was sick in the hospital, her dad had disappeared, and she was almost kidnapped leaving her job. These circumstances brought Jason into her life. There was an instant connection between them, but he was very upfront that he was a workaholic and didn't have the time or energy for relationship. As more things happened and Jason saved her life a second time, they start to put all the pieces of the puzzle together and the road to why her life was upside down took many twists. Will they make it out alive and if so, do they have a future together?? This may be the 14th book in this series but each and every one is a page turner. It's nice to catch up with the characters from previous books and see how they work together and solve each mystery. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my review

Lethal Game

Lethal Game is the latest installment in the FBI Off the Grid series. It can be read as a standalone, so if you haven’t read the previous books, you’re fine to jump into the series here.

Jason’s temporarily assigned to work with Flynn’s special unit, tracking down a terrorist he believed killed his father. Alisa Hunt is a nurse, whose mother is in the hospital suffering from a mysterious illness. But when Alisa’s attacked in the hospital parking garage and then other things start happening to her and her mother, Jason suspects she may be the key in finally catching the terrorist he’s been trying to bring to justice for years.

This is a gripping story that will keep a reader’s attention from beginning to end. It’s filled with a lot of suspense and plenty of twists and turns that will keep readers guessing to the end. I thought the suspense of the story was better than the actual romance, but because it was so well done, it didn’t really take away from my overall enjoyment of the book.

If you’re looking for a romantic suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat, this would be a book for you.

Suspense, thrills, and romance thrown in there

Barbara did it again! Lethal Game has it all, steamy, hot men, strong, independent women, romance, and a twist here and there that will keep you on the edge of you seat the whole time.

Suspense is Barbara's forte. She knows how to draw the reader in and dive deep into the worlds she creates with her words. The reader will get hooked from the first page and not want to put the book down until the very last word.

Lethal Game is a great addition to the Off the Grid: FBI series. If you love suspense, twists and turns, amazing characters, and some romance thrown in there, this series is for you!

Don't Pass This Up!

This book pulled me in on the first few pages and kept me there until the end. The storyline is interesting and intriguing. Global terrorist, FBI agent determined to stop him, middle class nurse, all caught up in a whirlwind of mayhem and mystery. The main characters I fell in love with. They came across as strong, determined, and oh so human. I have sincerely enjoyed all the FBI series that Ms. Freethy has written but I highly recommend not passing this one up whether you have read them all or none. This story will make you happy you took the journey; it really is that good!
